McGill 2nds 0 vs US Army 41 August 30, 2008 KINGSTON, ON Taking to the pitch following the Varsity draw against US Army's first XV, McGill's club side had a tough first half and a disappointing final score against a side that poked holes left, right, and centre in McGill's defense. McGill kicked off to Army from the starting whistle, and for much of the rest of the half Army controlled the ball. Showing development in its game since last year's face-off of the two schools, Army crashed the ball well with the forwards and continued making large gains with tactical kicking and running the ball wide up the wing. McGill's defense had no answer for their size and speed, and went into the intermission trailing by 28 points. Following the half, McGill picked up its communication and tackling and managed to get more organized against Army's offensives. McGill's forwards won more ball, allowing McGill to put out a much more offensive game plan than in the first half. Still, no fruits were borne from the numerous improvements from the first half, and the Redmen finished the game 0 - 41 Halftime: 0 - 28 Game Review by Josh Balloch
