Sunday September 3rd vs Carlton

McGill 47, Carlton 0

The last time Carlton and McGill met was in 1999, the contest ended in a bitter draw. Maybe it was the influx of new talent, maybe it was the frenzied support of thousands of McGill froshies, but it appears as if the times have changed. The highlight reel was dominated by new faces, including "Hot and New" Kyle Buckley exploding with three tries,"Big Man" Jessie Myers rolling in for his first score, and Alex Sebastian swooping in from the flank, bursting through for two magnificent try runs.
Matt DeGraff kicked for seven points and Marshall Eidinger added a try of his own as both the lead and the cheers from the crowd became more and more outrageous. DeGraffs boot also added some humor to the occasion when one of his touch kicks hit a drunken frosh leader covered in red paint. Needless to say, the ball was out of commision. And even if the majority of the crowd didn't understand the game, or was too drunk to care, it was still a pleasure to watch the Redmen play so well in front of a frenzied crowd.
