MISSION STATEMENT
As champions of Quebec's QSSF Provincial Rugby title for the third year running, McGill Rugby is a high calibre rugby club committed to excellence and the elevation the sport of rugby in Canada. The club hosts a Varsity side and two Club teams that play in the QSSF and against other universities in Quebec and Ontario.
Our primary focus is the fall, when the QSSF League plays out, and our other most competitive games tournaments, such as the Dartmouth Classic and the unofficial Eastern Canada Championships, against the top university rugby clubs of the Maritimes. During this season practices occur three nights per week, with one game on the weekend for each side.
In the winter season, indoor training takes place in McGill's Tomlinson Fieldhouse, two times per week, and players are encouraged to take part in weight training in smaller groups. In the spring, McGill takes part in an exhibition game against Harvard, a tradition of over 100 years! Propective players are encouraged to come out to practices and/or games in the fall, winter, or spring to meet the team, get a tour of our athletic facilities, and experience the McGill Rugby atmosphere! McGill Rugby encourages players interested in studying at McGill University and considering joining a university rugby team to visit Montreal and come see what our team is about on and off the field.

visit Montreal, where we can set you up with a place to stay, show you around campus, allow you to participate in training sessions, and take you out to see Montreal.

if you are just in town with parents or others, or live in Montreal, we encourage you to contact us, take part in a practice, an come out to experience the team atmosphere.
